The beautiful white bear of the Great Bear Rainforest is a genetic quirk in the region’s Black Bear biological makeup. There are only a very few that exist and only in this region. Here the mother lovingly nuzzles one of her cubs as the other symbolically watches over from above in a protector stance against many kinds of threats that challenge their existence. The viewer can feel a connection to these amazing animals through the feel of their coats and closeness of the body language.
