TWO OPTIONS
I believe my role is to create a supportive atmosphere where we all help one another and share our knowledge.
As we progress through the days of learning, friendships develop.
It is through these ties of relationships that our art communities become stronger and loving.

EAGLE LAKE
ART ON THE EDGE: Jan. 9th to Jan 12th, 2023
This is a 4 day intensive acrylic /oil program. In the beginning it is a step by step approach. I will show you how you can use your computer and Ipad to make your work flow more smoothly. The curriculum is always different for each new group. Every student brings to class a set of problems for which they need help. Our critiques that are held at the end of the day are also the highlight for learning and bonding. This class is good for those who want to complete an artwork in one continuous session.

Can you tell I’m an extrovert? I never thought I would paint, more or less paint using acrylics. I’d briefly dabbled with watercolour 25 years ago. I’ve come from a business world, a real estate world – often spending hours in my head. I was nervous before our first class but Carole’s kind words helped me to let go my angst and just paint! Now colour abounds and I find my paintings combine both the realistic and the magical. Supportive and encouraging, Carole has been the perfect first acrylics teacher!

My main form of artistic expression is through my pottery, but I’m loving learning about acrylic painting with Carole Finn. Carole is an excellent teacher, and she has already taught me so much in her own approachable, thoughtful and clever way. I took this photo at Silent Lake Provincial Park, on a September morning with the leaves just starting to change colour. It’s a beautiful place and it was hard to choose just one photo, but the contrast of light and dark drew me to this particular scene. I still have so much to learn about painting, and I’m looking forward to continuing the journey
