Half way Up: Blazing Glory, Haliburton Forest Ontario
This picture is about the beauty and awesome majesty of the wild Boreal forest from a vantage point high enough to see out over the landscape. It is here too, where the topography starts to change to less soil and more bared rock. The soil was swept away by the Ice Age. Your eye is drawn to the blue points of the coniferous trees where the Hollow River winds its way to Kennisis Lake. There is the sense of the great denseness of the uninhabited forest all around.
