Description
This is the same spot where “Blazing Glory” was painted, only with a different view point and, later in the day. Many kinds of Lichen grow on these dry bare rocks as do blueberries. The painting not only creates the sense of height but also the density and size of the forest beyond . The light on the trees are showing the shadows of the setting sun behind.
