Description
The big bull reigns supreme on the rock that is the feeding home of the colony. The rock to the left is alive with restless, noisy members of his family. Their comings and goings are also seen in the waters below. It is a constant flow between rock and water and of movement and of restful slumber. In stark contrast one sees to the right, a bland empty rock. Some of the sea lions are peering out in that direction. They are drawing our attention beyond the empty barren colorless rock to the space beyond. The symbolic gesture is meant to remind us that this is an endangered species threatened with annihilation.
