Description
The rock in the middle of the painting is called the Buffin Rock. It is given a special name to identify it as the place where the adventuresome can do headstands over the rock while paddling their Kayak. This is no skill for the feint of heart. The little island in the middle-ground constricts the space for the waterflow to make it move faster. Kayakers can get lots of speed to do their acrobatics among the many rocks.
