Description
This rock is a landmark on Wickanninish Beach. The patterns on the sand and the little pool created by a retreating ocean at low tide around the rock lead us to it as the focus of the picture. I was drawn to this rock because we can see the level of high tide water surrounding the surface of the rock. Independent eco systems exists on that rock on all 3 levels that are totally dependant on the tides coming in and maintaining the risen water level. This will become a barometer of our changing tide levels for the future.
